Affected vehicles have been fitted with the wrong Autonomous Telematic Box. This means it cannot connect to the remoter server making it impossible to make E-Calls or use Intelligent Speed Assistance.

Vehicles may be affected by incorrect performance of the On-Board-Diagnostics related to Selective Catalytic Reduction system and/or Diesel Particle Filter. The Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) may not illuminate in the event of a malfunction and therefore does not comply with emission regulations.

There is the possibility of water penetration into the vent hose resulting in water ingress into the vacuum pump over the wire harness and into the relay box. In the worst case a short circuit may lead to a risk of fire.

The connection between the steering knuckle and the lower control arm may not be assembled correctly. If this condition is evident the connection could become insecure. The event can happen suddenly and unexpectedly in which case the vehicle is no longer controllable.
Put right by: Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and inspect the connection between the steering knuckle and the lower control arm on both sides of the vehicle. Where necessary the connection will be reassembled correctly.
The gears within the steering rack may not have been manufactured to the correct specification which may allow them to crack over a period of time. Prolonged use could cause loss of steering control.

Moisture can ingress and accumulate inside the ABS control unit. Excessive accumulation of moisture may cause a fire.

A small number of steering knuckles on hub swivels have been manufactured incorrectly. In time these knuckles might fail with the attendant loss of directional control of the vehicle.
Put right by: Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and check the production date code on steering knuckles fitted to both sides. Replace the steering knuckles where required.
THE MANUFACTURER HAS RECOMMENDED THAT AFFECTED VEHICLES ARE NOT DRIVEN UNTIL CHECKED BY THEIR OFFICIAL AGENTS. The steering system may not have been produced according to specification. There is a risk that the steering intermediate shaft may break while driving resulting in the loss of steering control.
Put right by: The affected vehicles must not be driven until a new intermediate shaft that does meet the manufacturer's specification has been fitted.
Due to the insufficient strength of the material used in the brake pedal bearing it is possible that the bearing could fail when extreme force is applied to it during heavy or extreme braking.
Put right by: Recall all affected vehicles and replace the brake pedal bearing.
The parking brake may not hold in the applied position as a result of a nonconformity in the manufacturing process which affects the hardness of the ratchet and pawl material.

An overdue cambelt is the most expensive thing a seller can fail to mention on a used Corsa. These are the figures UK specialists work to.
The PSA 1.2 PureTech (sold by Vauxhall as the 1.2 Turbo and 1.2 petrol) has a wet belt that degrades and clogs the oil strainer, the belt material breaking down rather than simply wearing. The original schedule was 10 years / 175,000 km (about 109,000 miles); Stellantis cut it to 6 years / 100,000 km (62,000 miles) with the belt checked at every service, and independent specialists advise 5 years / 50,000 to 60,000 miles, so the shorter 5 years / 60,000 miles is recorded. Stellantis covers belt and oil consumption failures on these earlier-generation engines for 10 years / 112,000 miles when serviced to schedule. The 48V mild hybrid versions of the 1.2 (badged Hybrid 100, 110, 136 or 145) use the third-generation engine, which swapped the wet belt for a timing chain running in oil with no replacement interval. Vauxhall added the Hybrid to the Corsa in January 2024 and fits it to the Astra, Mokka, new Grandland and Frontera. The row carries no fuel type because these cars can be registered as petrol or as hybrids. The plain petrol 1.2 was sold alongside the hybrid with the older wet belt engine for several years, so the badge matters more than the year: check the car says Hybrid, and with the oil filler cap off a wet belt engine shows its belt while a chain engine does not.
Always confirm against the vehicle handbook. Intervals vary by engine, and several manufacturers revised theirs after failures in service.
Three stand out. Electrics: water ingress into the ABS wiring connector can cause a short circuit, overheating. Engine: camshaft bearing bolts can vibrate loose, causing camshaft fracture (typically 50000 to 90000 miles). Electrics: the Engine Control Unit (ECU) is prone to failure due to rainwater ingress (typically 50000 to 100000 miles). No Vauxhall Corsa year is a write-off, but the Corsa D (2006 to 2014) carries the most serious faults: electrics, engine and gearbox.
