Rear brake caliper corrosion and sticking, leading to the handbrake not holding or the brakes dragging. DVSA recall R/2012/138 (launched 3 December 2012, 7,334 vehicles) belongs to THIS generation, not the 1st Gen: the affected VIN range KNABX312ACT024229 to KNABX311ACT169876 is 2012 model year Picanto TA, and the 1st Gen (SA) had finished production in 2011. Owners report the same corrosion on 2nd Gen cars outside that VIN range, and the Hyundai i20 rear calipers of the period behave the same way.

The Intelligent Speed Limit Assist (ISLA) system may not function properly due to an incorrect software version of the instrument cluster and the ISLA camera coding partially missing.
