The secondary turbocharger actuator on the 3.0 V6 diesel sticks or fails, dropping the car into Restricted Performance mode, typically with P22D3/P22CF codes. It is a recognised fault that Jaguar addressed on many cars under a technical service bulletin, and the related vacuum pipework and shut-off valve under the front of the engine also seizes. Owners repeatedly report extended warranties refusing the claim on the grounds that the actuator is not technically part of the turbo, so the cost usually lands on the buyer at around 500-900 pounds fitted
